¿Qué piensan nuestros estudiantes? / ¿What our students think?

“I was in Büdingen and the most positive aspect of the experience was that I could live with people from seven European countries and this way I could know cultures different from mine.
I've learnt a lot of English and I've improved my fluency to speak that foreign language. I have also learnt to be more self-confident and independent.
I think everyone should participate in this project because it is a really constructive experience for life.”

ESTER LÓPEZ (Büdingen, December 2012)

“Comenius project has been one of the best experiences of my life. I participated in the first mobility, which took place from 2nd to 8th of December in Büdingen, Germany.

The most positive aspects of this week for me were both meeting new people from participating countries and improving my English.

I have learnt to live with other people and I felt the need to talk in English to communicate. I learnt some words in German and I also improved my French.

I think it has been a positive experience since we had to get along in an environment different from the one we know in our villages. You also learn to live together with other families that you didn’t know before and experience other culture and lifestyle, try different food and meals…

Apart from all that we’ve also learned a lot about carpentry, because it was the activity that the German team chose and we had to work a lot on it.

I think all the people should participate on a Comenius programme because it is a great experience: you learn a lot, you improve your English, you make new friends and you know other cultures.”

NURIA GONZÁLEZ (Büdingen, December 2012)

“Living in a house with a German family and travelling to another country has been a positive experience. I learnt some German words, I participated in a practical workshop related to carpentry and after the trip I feel more independent. I think that every student has to participate in a Comenius programme because it's a unique experience. During this week abroad you definitely improve your English level because you are all the time listening to and speaking English and it's very interesting to do an exchange with other student.”

RAQUEL SAHUQUILLO (Büdingen, December 2012)

I want to recommend all the students who are interested in this Comenius project to enroll in it because you are going to learn about another culture, other food, other people, other customs, a rhythm of life that is completely different from Spain.
I met a lot of new people, and I learnt how to communicate with other teenagers in English, how to be more independent in life. I think that my spoken English is better than before the trip. In this trip I worked in a project with French Comenius students and it was very funny.
In my case I can say that it was a great experience and I wouldn’t mind to spend more time there. I stayed in a house of a Sweden boy and I felt like in my house. All the people of my host family were great.
I haven’t got more to tell only that it is a unique experience in life and you cannot waste it.

IVÁN GÓMEZ (Boden, February 2013)

I think that a Comenius mobility or travel is not only a trip, I think that it is an incredible experience, in which I learn a lot of English, because you talk all the day in this language, and you also meet a lot of people from several countries.
You also do a lot of different activities in which you also learn, for example the work with leather; I have learnt a lot of things about leather crafts in several countries, typical products, production processes... and a lot of interesting things!
About the school, I think that it was really amazing, it is too big and the teachers and the students are very friendly, there are a lot of instruments and the students play and sing... beautifully.
In Sweden I met a lot of people, all of them very friendly and nice… and of course I also want to thank their families. It was also very interesting to be in contact with their customs, the snowy weather, Swedish food, traditions, and many other things.
So, if you have this great opportunity ... take it! :D

GARA SOTOS (Boden, February 2013)

I love Boden. It's small, beautiful swedish town and its people are very friendly. My host family was lovely, they treat me amazingly and I'll miss Amanda. We did a lot of things and I had never done some of them, such as driving a snowmobile or playing lasergames. I haven't complained about anything. I have learnt some words in Swedish, Romanian and Latvian and my English is now more fruent. My experience was wonderful and I recommend it because you meet a lot of people and you know other places and cultures. I hope to return to Boden because I'll miss it and the people I have met too :)

NOELIA CARRETERO (Boden, February 2013)

There are no words to describe the experience I have lived. It was something incredible, awesome! I have made a lot of good friends, I’ve improved my English a lot and I have learnt about other cultures and languages. People were really friendly and funny, and Latvia was incredibly beautiful and I was surprised because of its green landscapes. My Latvian family has been really helpful and attentive with me. Everything has been special; this week has been one of the best weeks of my life. I recommend this experience to everybody because it’s a new experience that only a few people can live, maybe no more than once or twice. I miss all of Comenius people, Latvia, its traditions, its landscape, its food, the famous “HOLA!”… Thanks for this amazing and special week, and for everything. I’ll never forget you.

NACHO GONZÁLEZ TORRES (Jelgava, October 2013)
